Powerline Safety Strategy Report
From 2001 through the first half of 2007 electrical fatalities related to powerline contacts represented more than 50% of the total reported incidents in Ontario. The Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) has prepared a Powerline Safety Strategy Report for Ontario with the objective of reducing powerline related fatalities by 30% over the next five years.

Ontario Powerline Incidents and High Risk Activities
Prior to preparing the Powerline Safety Strategy Report ESA examined existing historical data for powerline incidents in Ontario. By analysing the incidents from 2001 to 2007 several High Risk Activities and High Risk Groups were identified. This information helps focus the Powerline Safety Strategy Report in the most effective manner. |
